BENEDICTINE MONASTERY

No more than a 5-minute walk from our b&b Chebedda is the Benedictine Monastery , a jewel of the late Sicilian Baroque and one of the largest in Europe.

The monastic building is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Among the most important architects of the Monastery, to whom we owe the construction of the Kitchens and the Refectory, is Giovan Battista Vaccarini.
